Communication, Planning, and Advocacy Intern

Job purpose

The purpose of the position is to assist the board the various goals and objectives of the organization, in addition to networking and identifying viable partners.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Identify grant/sponsorship funding for applicable campaign(s).
  • Grant writing and editing with the support of a board representative
  • Program and Campaign Management of Parental Engagement and PACE (Parent Academic Coaching Enrichment) Awareness Campaign


Qualifications

  •  College Degree (preferred)
  • Computer literate, internet savvy
  • Good grasp of the English language including oral and written
  • Good people skills/ Team player
  • Professional and friendly attitude
  • Detailed oriented
  • Self-starter

 
Working conditions

Working conditions are primarily in a virtual setting, which could include a public library, home office, restaurant, etc. Periodic face to face meetings may be required to monitor projects, timeline, and management of the workflow.
 
Compensation

Unpaid. Eligibility for college credit, service learning, etc.

Working hours

The working hours are extremely flexible with a minimum of 8-10 hours per week.
